Android 5.0 or Lollipop is known to be very slow for newer version of Android phones like Moto G (both 1st and 2nd generation), the Moto X (also 1st and 2nd generation), and the Moto E.Lot of users who are facing this problem are expecting newer version 5.1. Soon MOTO E users will get the Android latest version 5.1 whereas for Moto G and Moto X, it will take some time to get that update.
Coming to Motorola Moto X update, Brazil seems to get the update first. CNET reports that upcoming Android version 5.1 has some interesting features in it. This version has a new feature called Moto Action gesture which turns the flashlight called "chop twice for flashlight". In order to turn on the flash light you need to chop it in air and chop it again to turn the flash light off as if you are chopping an onion.
It is a known fact that MOTO X first generation mobiles are still running with old Kit Kat version rather than version 5.0 as it is avialable for most newer Android devices since late last year.Good news for them is that both the versions of Moto X are going to get the Android 5.1 update as per the report given by Android Police.
Another news is that Moto E (the 2nd generation) users have reported that they are getting OTA Updates to change from older version to newer version 5.1 IN United States. ( as per Latin Post ).
Android 5.1 is going to be released with large update including fixing sudden app closures, RAM battery management, improving system stability, Android 5.0 returning silent mode missing .In this version you can easily join Wi-Fi networks and control paired Bluetooth devices using Quick Settings section given in the notification bar.
