Google’s Chrome Remote Desktop add-on lets you remote control any PC with the Chrome web browser from another computer running Chrome. But up until now if you’ve wanted to remote control a PC from a mobile device like a phone or tablet, you’ve needed to look elsewhere. That could soon change. Google’s been working on an Android version of Chrome Remote Desktop since last summer, and it looks like developers are getting ready to offer it through the Google Play Store.

A malicious software called Dendroid has been doing the rounds of the digital space in India and affects the Android-based mobile devices, says Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In). If the organization is to be believed, the malware can be extremely dangerous as it allows the attacker to remotely control the affected phone. The warning should be taken seriously considering that a huge number of devices in India are based on the Android platform. These phones form about 90 percent of the total mobile devices in the country. According to CERT-In, this toolkit basically Trojanizes applications and creates malware by altering the required permissions using Dendroid RAT.

SONY Xperia Z1 Compact For a while now smartphone manufacturers have been trying to reflect some of the hype and glory bestowed on their flagship models onto lesser brethren – usually by adding the suffix Mini. The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is a little different, for this is truly a flagship phone specification, just packed into a less massive shell than the Sony Xperia Z1 proper. The chipset is the same speedy 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 and it’s very fast indeed. The camera has the same 20.7-megapixel sensor and an identical lens and software. The design is the same too, not just a look-a-like, with the same metal frame and waterproofing.

Nokia’s Android smartphone, the Nokia X will be available in India on 15 March and is priced at Rs 8,500. The smartphone is already listed online on The Mobile Store’s website . Currently the date and the price of the smartphone have been removed from the online site. Nokia had announced three Android smartphones as part of the X series at the Mobile World Congress last month. The devices will be known as the X, X+ and XL and Nokia had said at the time of the launch that the smartphones would be available ‘very soon’ in India. Nokia also said that the Nokia X would start retailing for 89 euros (approx Rs 7,600), the X+ for 99 euros (approx Rs 8,400) and would hit stores in Q2 this year.
